Fiona Gordon

Fiona is most at home combining her passion for the arts and love for lists, within an inspiring team.

From an Eastern Cape upbringing, a stint at the UCT School of Dance opened the door to a wider world of arts and creativity. Remaining true to her roots she ran The Ballet Shop for four years – dabbling in dance production and project management on the side – while building a reputation as an arts writer. As part of The Famous Idea Trading Company, Fiona formed an integral part of the publicity team for major festivals and awards countrywide and internationally, affording her the experience to freelance and consult on projects in the cultural and creative industries; and is proud of her contribution as Project Manager for the 2015 ACT | UJ Arts & Culture Conference, #creativesmakeithappen.

Fiona regularly forms part of the judging panels for local theatre awards, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Arts & Culture Management through the University of the Witwatersrand, on a Scholarship from the South African Cultural Observatory.
